Every year Stoke Travel hosts more partiers in Munich than anyone else. Thousands upon thousands of likeminded individuals from all over the world come to stay with us for Springfest/Fruhlingfest (20 April - 8 May) and Oktoberfest (20 September - 8 October).
The best part about staying with Stoke Travel is the atmosphere. Upon arrival, you'll be given a welcome beer or sangria to kick things off and our crew will then personally escort you to your tent. Once you are settled in, make your way to our bar to get stuck into the unlimited beer and sangria on offer for just €10 per day. Have a spin of the Wheel of Misfortune, do a beer bong or just get amongst the campsite party, it's the biggest party outside the beer halls.
The Stoke Travel campsite is ideally located within easy access to the Oktoberfest beer halls via public transport which picks us up directly in front of the campsite.
We have multiple packages on offer including basic, all-inclusive & glamping.
Basic packages are tent only, you will need to bring your own mattress, sleeping bag and meals are not included.
Our all-inclusive packages are our most popular which include pre-erected tents with camping mattresses and sleeping bags,hot breakfasts and dinners daily, and not to mention our legendary Stoketoberfest campsite party, the biggest event outside the beer halls.
Our glamping packages are for those who enjoy a good party but don't like the idea of camping all that much. It includes a large glamping tent which you can stand up in, a bed with inflatable mattresses with fitted bed sheets, pillows and sleeping bags, breakfast and dinner daily, unlimited coffee, tea, hot chocolate & marshmallows day station, power and lighting in your tent, a bottle of water, free WIFI, bedside table, hanging mirror and bin, morning coffee & turndown service (upon request), Stoke friend at your service and a festival survival kit.

Check in from 2pm, if you arrive before this time feel free to drop off your bags and grab a few beers!

Reception is open from 8am-10pm. If you know you'll arrive outside of these hours, please let us know in advance.
Balance due: 2 weeks prior to arrival. We will contact you with your invoice and methods of payment.
Cancellation policy 3 days; late cancellations and no shows will be charged the amount of the first night.

From Munich Central Station take the metro line S2 in the direction of Peterhausen to the stop 'Untermenzing'. From Untermenzing, jump
on the bus 164 and get off at Campingplatz Obermenzing. The journey time is normally about 20 mins.
By train:
All trains entering Munich come in to the city's centrally-located main station (Hauptbahnhof), which is shared by the city's rail and bus systems, providing connections to all destinations within the city and around the region. High-speed InterCity Express trains from Hamburg, Frankfurt and Augsburg provide rapid service to Munich. The City Nightline features comfortable sleeping quarters on its overnight services. The Deutsche Bahn has more than 25000 miles of track, connecting all points in Germany, with international service as well. To view the timetable, visit If your travel originates in the UK, British Rail has four daily scheduled trains to Munich, with journey duration of around 9 hours including a ferry connection. From Zurich, there is daily service on the train called the Bavaria.
By bus:
You can travel by bus to Munich from London, Paris and many other European cities. The largest bus operator from the UK is Eurolines (, operating out of London's Victoria Coach Station. In Paris, Eurolines is located on rue Malmaison, a 35-minute Metro ride from the centre. In Munich, bus services usually terminate at the Zentraler Busbahnhof, which you will find on the north side of the Hauptbahnhof.
