We are conveniently located in a safe, semi-residential area in the heart of Old Istanbul, Sultanahmet and the main historic hub. We are only minutes away from the Blue Mosque, St. Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Underground Cistern, Turkish Baths, the Grand Bazaar and so much more!
At Istanbul Hostel, our cafes and bars are open every day and are the perfect place to meet for a hot cup of tea, a cold Turkish beer, or to partake in the Turkish national drink, Rahi.
We have a wonderful relaxed atmosphere where you can meet people from all over the world, make new friends, and share a traveller's tale or two. No matter what your mood may be, whether it is for a quiet chat with friends on the rooftop terrace overlooking Old Istanbul or partying all night long on Turkish beer or Raki, Istanbul Hostel is the place for you!
We have dorm rooms that can sleep four or more guests on comfortable, extra long single mattresses. Our double rooms are neat and clean with extra large king-sized mattresses. The bathrooms are located outside the rooms and are continuously maintained. All our rooms are non-smoking and have central heating.
For those who want to keep in touch with the world while in exotic Istanbul, we offer Satellite TV (showing English news and sports events) and daily showings of the latest movies on our 61-inch television with stereo surround sound system and movie-theatre quality.
Our professional in-house travel agency can accommodate all your travel needs with domestic and international flights, domestic tours, special ANZAC tours, and lots more. Internet access is also available in the travel agency.
Our guests can enjoy magnificent views of the Marmara Sea and historic Istanbul from the rooftop terrace while dining on freshly barbequed chicken, meat, or fish. There are great salads for all those vegetarians, too!
We offer a bar and cafe, with garden seating and a sidewalk cafe out front; all serving drinks, breakfast, traditional Turkish kebabs and casseroles, pizza, hotdog, and hamburgers.
In the Buzz Bar downstairs, we offer belly dancing shows to delight you with the traditional culture of Turkey. The Buzz Bar comes alive in the evening with great music and dancing until closing time.

Directions
From the Airport or the Bus Station (Otogar), take the Metro to ''AKSARAY'. As you leave the Metro Station, go through the underground passage and straight onto the pedestrian walkway, then walk over a bridge and down the steps to reach the 'YUSUF PASA' Tram Stop. Transfer onto the tram and get off at 'SULTANAHMET'' (the 5th stop).
Follow the tram line down (passing several restaurants on the left and the Information Office on the right) to the intersection and traffic lights; cross over to the right and enter the courtyard between St. Sophia on your left and the Blue Mosque a little further on your right.
Go all the way through the courtyard and turn to your right at the end. Take the first left at the taxi stop and follow the street all the way down passing the Four Seasons Hotel on the left.
The Istanbul Hostel is directly at the end of the street.
