Navona Square is absolutely enchanting! The stunning Baroque fountains, lively street performers, and cozy cafés create such a vibrant and magical atmosphere. Built on the site of the ancient Stadium of Domitian, its long, oval shape harks back to its origins as a first-century Roman arena for athletic competitions. Today, this bustling square is a masterpiece of Baroque art and architecture, surrounded by historic buildings, lively cafes, and street performers.

At the heart of Piazza Navona are three stunning fountains. The most famous is the **Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi** (Fountain of the Four Rivers), designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini in 1651. It features four majestic river gods representing the Nile, Ganges, Danube, and Rio de la Plata, symbolizing the continents known at the time. Flanking the square are the **Fontana del Moro** and **Fontana del Nettuno**, each adorned with intricate sculptures.

The **Church of Sant'Agnese in Agone**, designed by Francesco Borromini, adds to the square’s grandeur with its beautiful Baroque façade and domed interior. Legend has it that the church was built on the site where Saint Agnes was martyred.
