WELCOME TO THE COTSWOLD COUNTRYSIDE! The 4 star Granary Cottage is ideally placed to tour all that the beautiful Cotswolds & Royal Gloucestershire has to offer! You can visit quaint Cotswold villages and towns, such as Castle Coombe & Bourton-On-The-Water and enjoy scrummy cream teas! The Cotswolds is one of the best walking areas in the country, The Cotswold Way & The Monarch’s Way run through our land!
Here at Lovettswood Farm you are free to roam our 660 organic acres! Farmer John also offers you a farm tour with a milking experience.
The Cotswolds aren’t, however, just about picturesque cottages and tea shops! You can take a chauffeured Motor-Trike tour of the Cotswolds, throw a high performance car around Castle Coombe's Race Circuit, take a stomach dropping Glider flight over the edge of the Cotswold escarpment, enjoy an adventurous Balloon flight over the beautiful Berkeley Vale, (you may even land in one of our fields!), hone your survival skills at paintballing, or your competitive skills at Go-Kart racing or even Rock Climb the side of the Cheddar Gorge! And much more!
Many famous National Trust & English Heritage properties & sites nearby, most of which have been used to film anything from Harry Potter to Cranford and Pride & Prejudice to Dr Who! Lacock Abbey & Gardens, Dyrham House, Newerk House, Avebury Village, Bath’s Assembly Rooms, to name but a few!Walk in Jane Austen’s footsteps! The stunning Regency City of Bath was once home to the famous author; indeed she set her darkly Gothic tale, Northanger Abbey in Bath! The Jane Austen Experience is a must for fans, or if you just want one of the best afternoon teas Bath has to offer!
For our younger guests, apart from learning all about farming from Farmer John, there is a huge variety of attractions and events to keep them occupied! Adventure/Play Attractions: Bowood Adventure Park, Old Down Country Park, Robins Wood Country Park & Dry Ski Slope, Magic Land Soft Play. Farm/Adventure Parks: Cotswold Farm Park (Adam's Farm from Countryfile), Cattle Country, Avon Valley Country Park, St Augustine’s Farm. Zoos/Animal Parks: Longleat House & Safari Park, Bristol Zoo & Gardens, Noah's Ark Farm Zoo, Horseworld. Caves/Adventure Centres: Wookey Hole, Cheddar Caves & Gorge, Clearwell Caves. Stream Trains/Transport. Avon Valley Steam Railway, Calne Motor Museum. Not forgetting our very own 700 year old Berkeley Castle, with its grisly history and special event days! And much, much more!
